As part of initiative of Ministry of Rural Development to enable social welfare schemes to be paid directly into Aadhaar linked bank accounts of MGNREGA beneficiaries, Rural Development (RD) block Chumukedima conducted a training on sensitization on Aadhaar seeding for village functionaries under RD Block Chumukedima on June 10, at BDO’s office Chumukedima.

Lead Bank, SBI, Regional Business Office Dimapur chief Manager, S. Besu Bosco, and SBI Chumukedima, branch manager, Temsurenla Jamir, spoke at the training and distributed forms for linking of Aadhaar/UID number with the account of the beneficiaries and also consent forms.
