UIDAI organises ‘Training of Trainers’

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Regional Office-Chandigarh organised a ‘Training of Trainers’ camp on Tuesday for Haryana.

The training was attended by e-District Managers, Master Trainers and District Coordinators of enrollment agencies from all the districts of the State.Keshni Anand Arora, Deputy Director General (DDG), UIDAI Chandigarh, exhorted all the participants to ensure that left out 7 per cent  population of the State (nearly 17 lakhs) be covered for Aadhaar on priority.

 She said arrangements may be made for Aadhaar enrollment of old aged, sick and bed-ridden at their residences using mobile vans. Social Inclusion camps may also be organised in the districts wherever needed.
The training focused on data quality norms to be followed by operators while capturing demographic and biometric details during Aadhaar enrollment process. “Correct capturing of data following the prescribed norms of UIDAI will prevent any kind of inconvenience to residents due to wrong details captured which requires correction/updation,” a statement said.
To ensure data quality, UIDAI, RO- Chandigarh, keeps on organising training session for stakeholders on regular basis.Aadhaar saturation in states including Punjab, Haryana, Himachal & UT- Chandigarh under the jurisdiction of RO Chandigarh, has reached 95 per cent.
State wise Himachal leads Aadhaar saturation with 97 per cent  followed by Punjab with 96 per cent Aadhaar coverage. In Chandigarh, Aadhaar coverage is 95 per cent and in Haryana it is 93 per cent in Haryana
