Chandigarh: The department of food and supplies and consumer affairs and legal metrology of Chandigarh administration has implemented Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme for foodgrains from September 2015.
The subsidy amount up to February 2016 has been released to eligible households through their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts, as per the entitlements.
At present, 43,273 households with 1,88,074 units (43,183 priority households and 90 AAY households) have been covered.
Those eligible households who have any queries related to transfer of subsidy amount into their bank accounts can either visit their respective banks or can check Aadhaar linkage by dialing *99*99# from their mobile number.
Also, a toll free number 1800-180-2068 and helpline number 1967 of the department is in operation.
Beneficiaries may contact the office situated in basement of Registering and Licencing Authority (RLA), Sector 17, for redressal of their grievances.
