Mumbai: The government is grearing up to roll out Aadhaar Pay, for digital payment for merchant in India. Around 20 banks are expected to go live at the launch on April 14, this year. As more banks would be participants more merchants will accept Aadhaar Pay.
The government has requested all public sector banks to go live with Aadhaar Pay and the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), the implementing agency for Aadhaar Enabled Payments Systems, has extended help to the banks to ensure smooth on boarding.
There is an app available in the market currently which goes by the same name. But this is a duplicate. The Aadhaar app is available on Google play store is not form by NPCI. According to National Payment Council Of India (NPCI) MD A P Hota, said the Aadhaar card app has not been launch yet. We will be launching on 14th February. The app is available on the Google play store is duplicate.
